Born in 2015, second-grader Michael's parents are unemployed. The father of the little boy lives in Bissau-Guinea and is bedridden. Her mother, Inès Gomis, tries to support herself by washing and cleaning. They live with their aunt's family. The parents cannot read and write. Michael has only one sister who is in high school in Guinea-Bissau. The family manages to provide regular food, they eat three times a day. Breakfast is coffee with milk and bread, lunch and dinner are rice with sauce. Michael wants to be a trucking entrepreneur. His favorite subject is mathematics, reading and sports are his favorite hobbies. Outside of school, he likes to play soccer. He is mainly interested in his studies. Michael is very smart, one of the best in his class. He has an amazing memory: he took down half the table in the memory game, he was unbeatable.
