Souleymane Sonaibou Koné

The boy, born in 2019, is growing up in a family with six children and lives in an extended family household. His father completed nine years of schooling and his mother completed six. The parents place great emphasis on their children’s education, but even so only four of the children are able to attend school. The father is a firefighter and the mother raises chickens.
Souleymane enjoys going to school and is a good student; his favorite subject is reading. At home he helps with household chores and takes care of and looks after his siblings. His favorite color is orange, and he would like to become a firefighter like his father. According to his parents, he is a diligent, hardworking, and ambitious boy who loves learning very much.
