Ramatoulaye was born in 2004. In 2013 her father died and since then, she is raised by her mother, who is unemployed, living on the sale of small items, and casual work, mostly cleaning. She has 11 siblings. The family lives on an empty plot of land in hut-like buildings built of temporary materials (paperboard, planks, slats, nylon), out of the courtesy of the property owner. Neighbors regularly help the poor family, some brings a bag of rice, some brings meat, and others bring them oil as a gift. Ramatoulaye is a good student. In her free time she likes to jump rope. She often helps her mother in the household, sells hazelnuts in front of their house during school holidays, takes care of her younger siblings. She really likes rice meat and rice fish. She wants to be a teacher.
