Born in 2017, Irene just finished first grade. She lives with her mother and sister 7 kilometers from the school. The mother is a merchant, sells small things on the street, and tries to support the two little girls from this. Irene's sister doesn't go to school because they cannot afford it. They are several months behind i payment with Irene’s school fees too, but the little girl is not sent away, as she is clever and hardworking. Her favorite subject is English and she also likes to read. In her spare time, she likes to play ball. When she grows up, she wants to be a nurse so she can help sick people.
