The 13-year-old boy in 7th grade is raised in a family of four children. Both parents went to school, the father is a driver, the mother is a housewife. They all live in a rented room, without the help of extended family. Life is on the table twice a day. Abdoulaye loves the French language, he is among the top 20 students in his class of 80 students. In his spare time, he does karate and has a red belt, he says proudly. Carrying water is his job. When he grows up, he will become a minister. But first he wants a bag and textbooks.
