With the help of Hungary Helps Agency, the construction of Newill Academy in Koforidua (Ghana) can be completed in 2021. The school will provide quality daycare and education from creche to primary school for children who live on the periphery of society. With the funds from Hungary Helps Agency, the 2nd floor and the roof structure of the building can be completed, and the necessary washrooms will be built.
With the support of the Hungary Helps Agency, we launch a new project in Mali: seamstress training. The target groups of the training are (1) girls who do not or cannot continue their studies in secondary school due to unsuccessful examination or lack of space; (2) widows or abandoned women with children who do not receive help from the greater family for their living and (3) girls with children but without a husband. The project is carried out in cooperation with the local Women's Association.
After the opening ceremony attended by school principals, Kati's public school supervisor, politicians and the local radio, environmental education began in schools. 10 public schools and a private school participate in the program. Two teachers will teach in the schools for three months to raise environmental awareness in the children.
After a year of preparation, today we launched a new project:environmental education, plastic waste collection and recycling education, in Kati, near Bamako, Mali. The aim is to develop environmental awareness in children and to learn that they themselves can do something to preserve and protect the environment.
After the break due to the pandemic, IT education started again in Bamako with the funding of the foundation. We are pleased that education will continue in the room, that was established in 2019 with our help and has also had internet connection since last year.
It looks familiar, right? This is the Cherifoula Private School and its best. The management used the extended winter break to rebuild and renovate the building. An excellent job!
