What we do:

Supporting Communities

It takes a village to raise a child is an African proverb that means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. The community is the basis of existence in Africa.

Community development can have a positive impact on children. In turn, when children grow up in supportive environments, they are more likely to succeed in school and boost human capital, a key ingredient for building strong communities into the future.

Studies have shown that the most effective way for supporting communities is to get projects off the ground so they can make a living from it. So we support projects that:

  • engage children with disabilities with school activities  or ensure education for children with disabilities,

  • preserve the folklore traditions (dance, music, playing the instruments) of the local community

  • educate the community about environmental issues that are impacting them, and possible local solutions to these issues.

Our programs

Plastic project

(Mali)

The project idea was born in Bamako in 2019 when we saw plastic trash hanging, floating around the school and every-where, eaten by cows and sheep. The parent community of the school also asked for our help in creating a healthier environment.

Let's plant trees

(Mali)

Every year 4 million hectars of forest are being cut down in Africa. Cutting down trees is a huge problem as it destroys the climate, the quality of the air, the environment and the field.

AEDMP - Last Hope

(Mali)

The main objective of the program is to ensure that these handicapped children receive education appropriate to their condition and age and do not to stay at home without special help, development and education and, get the chance for an independent life .

Art for life

(Senegal)

The aim of the program is to enhance the survival of the traditional Senegalese tribal arts and ensure the education of  little emerging artists.
